THE DOT CONNECTION

Privacy notice · Waiting list

Your information deserves clarity.

This notice explains how The Dot Connection handles information submitted to join its waiting list.

Who is responsible and how to contact us

The Dot Connection is responsible for the waiting-list information described here. For privacy questions or to request deletion, email thedotconnection@protonmail.com. For a security concern, email the same address with “Security” in the subject line.

Information collected and why

When the waiting-list form is available and you submit it, it collects your name, email address and business name. Current business stage is optional. The system also records the time of signup, the privacy notice version you accepted, and a one-way HMAC digest derived from your connection IP in a 15-minute bucket for rate limiting. The raw IP is not stored in that rate-limiting table. These details are used to manage your waiting-list request, prevent duplicate entries and abuse, and contact you about service availability. Do not submit passwords, payment details or other sensitive information.

How long information is kept

Inactive waiting-list records are deleted 12 months after signup. If you make a verified deletion request, the record is deleted from the live database within 30 days. Neon Free provides limited restore history. We do not promise a 35-day backup expiry while using the current plan.

Deletion requests

Email thedotconnection@protonmail.com from the address associated with your signup and ask for your waiting-list information to be deleted. We may ask for enough information to verify the request. Deletion from the live database is completed within 30 days of a verified request. Neon Free provides limited restore history; we do not promise a 35-day backup expiry unless the plan and its configured backup settings are changed and confirmed.
